Leveraging new manufacturing tools and software, including Freeform High Definition Optics® (HDO) and PRIZM™ Lens Technology, the EDGE Shield lens was exclusively engineered for the ZERO1, allowing Oakley to create an optically correct shield to match the unique shape of ZERO1 facemasks, and the ZERO1’s wide field of view.
FIELD OF VISION
The VICIS ZERO1 provides a wider field of view than traditional helmets. In laboratory testing, the ZERO1 was shown to offer players a 212 degree field of view, nearly the maximum of human peripheral vision (220 degrees). This is nearly 5 degrees more than the next best traditional helmet and 13 degrees more than another popular traditional helmet¹. The sooner you see, the sooner you can react.
CUSTOM FIT SUPERIOR COMFORT
A great fitting helmet is essential for player comfort and protection. The ZERO1 offers three helmet sizes paired with a choice of FORM Liners, Ridge Pads, and Jaw Pads. The VICIS AXIS Fit System was specifically designed to provide a custom fit for every player without use of air bladders, taking comfort and safety to a new level.
